Oh, Emily Oi! Merci pour essayer de repondre. Did I say that right? Now that someone has finally taken a stab at it, I must admit that you are close when you mention mold, but said object often puts up with temperatures over 400 degrees F.
Since it's in our kitchen, I might as well say that it is the inside of our oven door.
Ewwwww! But hey - come on, look at your oven door! :o)
